MarketGrade

Terms of Service

Last updated: August 22, 2026

1. What MarketGrade is

MarketGrade is research software. It scores S&P 500 companies across nine pillars using public data — SEC filings, patent grants, news, and market prices — and cites the evidence behind qualitative scores. MarketGrade is not an investment adviser, broker, or dealer, and nothing on this site is investment advice. See the disclaimer, which is part of these terms.

2. Accounts

Accounts are created and accessed by email login link; you are responsible for the security of your email address. You must provide an address you control. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service (automated scraping outside the documented API, credential sharing beyond a team's seats, attempts to disrupt the service).

3. Plans and billing

The free plan includes a limited number of company files per month. Paid plans (Pro and Team) are billed in advance by subscription, monthly or annually, through Stripe. A Team plan includes a fixed number of seats the owner may assign by email invite. Prices are shown at checkout; we may change prices for future billing periods with notice. You can cancel any time from your account — access continues to the end of the period already paid, and payments already made are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.

4. Acceptable use

One person per seat. The documented API (with your key) is the only supported way to access data programmatically, within its rate limits. You may quote reasonable excerpts of MarketGrade output with attribution; wholesale redistribution or resale of the data or scores is not permitted.

5. Data and availability

Scores and underlying data derive from third-party public sources that can be late, wrong, restated, or unavailable, and models that can err. The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, and we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, current, or error-free.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MarketGrade and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, or for trading or investment losses of any kind, arising from use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

7. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on the site or by email, and continued use after the effective date is acceptance. We may modify or discontinue features at any time.
